We are almost one third of the way through the campaign in Europe’s biggest leagues and trends are starting to appear. Here we look at the stats to discover the best markets in each division.
Premier League
Manchester United – Both Teams to Score
Both sides have been on the scoresheet in ten of the Red Devils’ 12 league games this season, with Tottenham the only side to shut out last season’s runners up. However, David De Gea has only managed one clean sheet, seven fewer than he had made by this stage last year. Back Both Teams to Score in United’s next match at odds of 1.90.
Tottenham – Team to Score First Goal
Only Manchester City and Liverpool have managed to score the opening goal against Tottenham this season in the Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have struck the first blow in ten of their 12 league matches so far, going on to win on nine occasions. Tottenham to Score First against Chelsea is at odds of 1.95.
Arsenal – Both Teams to Score
Arsenal have both scored and conceded in nine league games so far this season, including all five of their away matches. Only Manchester City and Chelsea have scored more goals than the Gunners, but Unai Emery’s side have kept just two clean sheets. Both Teams to Score in their game at Bournemouth is available at odds of 1.45.
Ligue 1
Reims – Under 2.5 Goals
There have been Under 2.5 Goals in 11 of Reim’s 13 league matches so far this season, during which time they have scored just eight times (a division low). The only exceptions have been a 4-1 defeat to PSG (which we can forgive) and a 4-1 loss at Amiens, where they had a man sent off after 36 minutes. Under 2.5 Goals in their upcoming match is available here at odds of 1.50.
Rennes – Both Teams to Score
Both teams have scored in ten of the 13 league games involving Rennes this season, including all of their seven away games. They have only failed to find the net once this season. Click here for odds of 2.00 for Both Teams to Score in their game at Montpellier.
Montpellier – Team to Score First
Montpellier have opened the scoring in ten of their 13 matches so far this season, including six of their seven games at home. The opportunity to take a 1-0 lead has certainly been helped by the fact that they have kept seven clean sheets. Back them to score first against Rennes at odds of 1.80.
Bundesliga
Hoffenheim – Both Teams to Score
Hoffenheim have found the net in all of their 11 Bundesliga matches so far this season, but have only prevented the opposition from scoring on one occasion. That side was Stuttgart, who went down to ten men in the eighth minute. Both Teams to Score in their next game is now at odds of 1.45.
Augsburg – Both Teams to Score
Ten of Augsburg’s 11 league games have seen both teams on the scoresheet, including all of their six away matches. Bet on Both Teams to Score in their game at Eintracht Frankfurt at odds of 1.50.
Borussia Monchengladbach – Over 2.5 Goals
Monchengladbach’s past nine league games have all featured Over 2.5 Goals. Only Borussia Dortmund have managed more than their 26 goals so far. Odds of 1.50 are available for Over 2.5 Goals in their upcoming game with Hannover.
Serie A
Chievo – Opponent to Score First Goal
Chievo began the 2018/19 Serie A campaign with a three point deduction, and it has taken them 12 matches to reach zero points. The Verona side have gone 1-0 down in 11 of their 12 games, with the other finishing goalless. Bet on Napoli to Score First in their next game at odds of 1.14.
Fiorentina – Under 2.5 Goals
Juventus are the only side in Serie A to have conceded fewer goals this season than Fiorentina (eight to ten). How, the Viola have only scored 18 times, and nine of their 12 matches this season have seen Under 2.5 Goals. Back the same in their next game against Bologna at odds of 1.65.
Genoa – Both Teams to Score
Nine of Genoa’s 12 games in Serie A this season have seen both teams score, which is impressive considering they have managed to find the net away to Juventus, Lazio and AC Milan. Only Inter Milan have managed to stop them from scoring this season. Both Teams to score in Genoa v Sampdoria is available at odds of 1.65.
La Liga
Valencia – Under 2.5 Goals
Valencia are the lowest scoring side in La Liga so far this season with just eight goals in 12 games. Eleven of those matches have finished with two goals or fewer. Under 2.5 Goals in their game against Rayo Vallecano is priced at odds of 2.05.
Getafe – Under 2.5 Goals
Under 2.5 Goals have been scored in 11 of Getafe’s 12 league games this season. The only exception was in a victory away to Rayo Vallecano that ended 2-1 to the visitors. Bet here on Under 2.5 Goals in their next match at odds of 1.50.
Barcelona – Both Teams to Score
Considering they have been so dominant in Spanish football over the past decade, it is interesting to note that Barcelona have not kept a clean sheet in La Liga since Match Day Two. Their phenomenal scoring rate, however, means that both teams have been on the scoresheet in all of their last ten matches. Back Both Teams to Score in their upcoming game at Atletico Madrid at odds of 1.80.
