Fleetwood Town v Portsmouth – Both Teams to Score – 1.65
Fleetwood and Portsmouth are separated by just a point in the League One table but they will cast that battle aside on Saturday when they meet in the FA Cup. Fleetwood have scored in nine of their last ten games; however, they have conceded at least in once in eight of those games. Likewise, both teams have scored in seven of Portsmouth’s last ten matches. In fact, the 2008 cup winners have found the net in each of their last 15 games. Both of these sides have scored in four of their last five meetings, so expect goals galore here.
Leicester v Wigan – Leicester Win on 0:1 Handicap – 1.40
Leicester are second in the Premier League and through to the semi-finals of the EFL Cup. However, due to the vast lead Liverpool hold in the former and the fact that they will have to overcome Manchester City or United in the latter, their chances of winning either are slim. This weekend they turn to attention to the FA Cup, having won six of their last ten home games in the competition. They have also won seven of their last ten matches at the King Power stadium in all competitions. Wigan are in the midst of a relegation battle in the Championship and have only won one of their last 14 games. That run is unlikely to improve here.
Brescia v Lazio – Over 2.5 Goals – 1.50
Lazio start the weekend in third place in the Serie A and as the second-highest scorers in the league, having netted 38 goals in 16 games. Of those 38 goals, 27 have come in their last ten league games, all of which have witnessed Over 2.5 Goals. As for Brescia, they entered the winter break in the relegation zone. Only two Serie A sides have conceded more goals this season than the Lombardy side, who will do well to avoid a heavy beating here.
Liverpool v Everton – Both Teams to Score – 1.45
After a busy December schedule Jurgen Klopp has announced that he is set to rest several players for the Merseyside Derby. Although this year his squad is stronger than ever, his history of rotating his squad since the FA Cup has not reaped any rewards. Liverpool have conceded in their last four league games in the competition, losing three of those. The only exception was a 2-1 win against Everton, who have scored and conceded in each of their last five games in the FA Cup. The Toffees have scored in all three of their games under Carlo Ancelotti, who will not encourage his side to sit back.
AS Roma v Torino – AS Roma Win – 1.50
Having won seven of their last ten games in the Serie A, AS Roma are back in the top four of the Italian top flight. Should results go their way this Sunday, they will climb above local rivals (and fellow residents of the Stadio Olimpico) Lazio into third position. For that to happen they will have to win against Torino, whom they have beaten in their last five league encounters. Furthermore, they have won their last nine league games against the visitors on home turf. Form and history points toward a home win.
