There is a whole host of fixtures this week, with the Champions League, Europa League and Championship on the agenda. We have taken a look through the stats and odds to determine just what we think are the Top 5 Bets for the Week.
Sunderland v Peterborough – Both Teams to Score – 1.55 – BET HERE
This is a big game at the top of League One, as Sunderland know that a victory will put them within touching distance of today’s opponent, who occupy the final automatic promotion place. Goals look likely, as Both Teams to Score has been a winning bet in all but one league game for both sides. With both attacks flying, it’s unlikely that either defence will keep a clean sheet.
Napoli v Liverpool – Over 2.5 Goals – 1.60 – BET HERE
Both of these sides are known for their beautiful, attacking brand of football. As such, we expect to see plenty of goals in this one. Liverpool come into this on the back of a 3-2 win over PSG, whilst Napoli’s last home game in the Champions League ended 3-0 against Shakhtar. Over 2.5 Goals has won in four of Liverpool’s last five games, whilst it’s four out of the last five in the Champions League for Napoli.
Zenit v Slavia Prague – Home Win – 1.70 – BET HERE
Russian teams are often difficult to beat at home in European competitions, and I think Slavia will struggle on Thursday night in St. Petersburg. Zenit are currently top of the Russian Premier League, have won six of their last seven at home in the Europa League and have not lost in any competition at the Krestovsky Stadium since April. Prague only have two wins in their last 16 away games in this tournament. A home win beckons.
Frankfurt v Lazio – Both Teams to Score – 1.65 – BET HERE
This could easily be the most entertaining match in the Europa League on Thursday. Eintracht Frankfurt have seen goals at both ends in all of their last five matches across all competitions. For Italian side Lazio, that figure stands at four out of five. I think this looks to be a pretty safe bet.
Werder Bremen v Wolfsburg – Both Teams to Score – 1.60 – BET HERE
Both Teams to Score, amazingly, has been a winning bet in all of Werder Bremen’s last 11 matches, including friendlies. The stats could not be more on our side. For Wolfsburg, their start to the season has seen them both score and concede in five out of their six Bundesliga games. Form will have to go out of the window for us to lose this one.
