Tips for the Week – ICC, Champions League, Championship

Tips for the Week gives you the chance to win by providing insight into statistics and the form of teams involved in matches throughout the week.

Away win

Manchester United are having a wretched pre-season, dogged by injuries, a sulking manager and the absence of key players who remain on holiday after an arduous World Cup campaign. All of this was made worse by a 4-1 loss to sworn rivals Liverpool on Saturday night, and the Red Devils are in a real spot of bother going into their final tour match against Real Madrid early Wednesday morning.

This will be the European champions’ first match in the off-season, but they have a much stronger squad and you would probably imagine much better morale than their rivals. Click here for odds of 1.55 for Real Madrid to win.

Both Teams to Score

Arsenal and Chelsea will face off in another International Championship Cup match at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday night. Both the Gunners and the Blues have scored in every one of their pre-season matches so far, and for Arsenal that included an 8-0 win over Boreham Wood two weeks ago. The two teams have quite strong squads with them and should therefore put on a good show.

Both Teams to Score (BTTS) has occurred in two of the last three matches between the two teams, including Arsenal’s 2-1 win in their last encounter. Bet on Both Teams to Score at odds of 1.50 here.

Home win

Malmö are on a seven-game unbeaten run. They have won six of their last seven games and will face CFR Cluj on Wednesday in the return leg of their Champions League play-off. The Swedish champions beat their opponents 1-0 in the first leg of this tie last week and will have the upper hand when they face them again, this time in front of their own fans.

Cluj have failed to score in either of their last two matches and are not fancied to get a favourable result on Wednesday night. Back Malmö to win at 1.90 here.

Burnley Under 2.5 Goals

The second leg of Burnley v Aberdeen will take place this Thursday. The first leg ended 1-1 and both teams have an equal opportunity to bag themselves a place in next season’s Europa League. This is the first time that Burnley are participating in the Europa League. The Clarets have failed to score more than two goals in 11 of their last 12 games. That is unlikely to change against an Aberdeen side that have avoided conceding thrice in a match in their last 11 games. Odds for Burnley Under 2.5 Goals are at 1.45 here.

Over 2.5 Goals

The English Championship resumes this weekend. Reading and Derby will kick the action off with their Friday night clash at the Madejski Stadium. The last three matches between the two teams have ended 3-3, 4-2, and 3-2.  A punt on Over 2.5 Goals gives you a chance to win at mouth-watering odds of 2.15 here.
