The Champions League will return today and here is a look at some of the games set to be played with a few tips for your consideration.

Home Win to Nil

Qarabag won their first ever meeting with Olimpija Ljubljana, as they claimed a 1-0 victory last week. The host have a reputation for defensive astuteness and they only conceded on four occasions in all their home games in the league last season. Olimpija are likely to face a huge task here, especially as they have only played once away in the Champions League before tonight. There is great value in backing a Home Win to Nil at odds of 2.40 here.

Both Teams to Score

Valur were victorious against Rosenberg when they met last week, but they are expected to struggle in the second leg. The only issue for the hosts Rosenborg, is their poor defensive record in Europe. They have conceded in their last five home Champions League ties and they will be facing a side that have been good value for goals in their domestic league. Both teams scored in five of the host’s last seven matches in the Europa League last season and there is great value in backing that at odds of 2.10 here.

Home Win and Over 2.5 Goals

Celtic won 3-0 in their first leg of this tie and will fancy beating Alashkert again.  The Bhoys have hit 14 goals in their last three, and so they will be in a great mood to extend their dominance at home. We expect them to rack up the goals yet again, and a Home Win alongside Over 2.5 Goals promises real value at odds of 1.35.

Under 3.5 Goals

Cove Rangers will meet Hearts for the very first time in the Scottish League Cup today. The hosts have not been on a great run of form as they have lost four of their last five matches. Hearts are not particularly great with scoring goals as last season saw them average 0.8 goals on their trips. That notwithstanding, they had one of the best defensive records during that time. We can expect the visiting team to emerge on top but we don’t see a lot goals here and you can back Under 3.5 at odds of 1.95 this way.

Home Win

Lanus will be out to make use of the home advantage ahead of a tricky return fixture when they receive Junior in the Copa Sudamericana. The hosts have won six of their last seven home matches in continental competitions and have lost just one of their last 15 Sudamericana home fixtures. Junior have a bad record playing away from home as they have won just two of their last 19 away games, losing nine in the process. A home Win is placed at odds of 2.25 and you can back that here.
