With three matches to go, the Premier League title race is getting more engrossing with leaders Manchester City and Liverpool going at it at the top. Brighton, Cardiff and Southampton are still fighting for survival. Here are Things to look out for in the Premier League this weekend. You can bet on the Premier League here.

Majestic title race to continue

This season’s Premier League title race is one of the closest in recent years. Leaders Manchester City and Liverpool have been different class throughout the campaign and are deservedly miles ahead of the other teams behind them. City have garnered 89 points from 35 matches while the Reds have 88. With just three games to go, a slip-up could be costly for either team. Taking into account the competitiveness of the league, the three remaining games are not walkovers. City have to visit a stubborn Burnley and also play Leicester, a team that has beaten them this season. Liverpool’s road to the Holy Grail isn’t straight forward. They have to travel to face Newcastle, a team that has beaten leaders City and close the season against stubborn and formidable Wolves.

Relegation battle

With Huddersfield’s and Fulham’s relegations already confirmed, Cardiff, Brighton and Southampton are in a survival dogfight with just three matches left to play for the season. The Saints have probably the easiest run-in. They face teams in the bottom half of the table. Brighton have the toughest schedule out of the three, as they have to play Arsenal and Man City in their remaining three games. Eighteenth-placed Cardiff have a favourable run-in and only play one top six side. Therefore, Brighton will have to play their best football if they are to remain in the top flight. Any slip-ups will have serious consequences.

Arsenal’s away blues to continue?

Arsenal suffered a gut-wrenching defeat at Molineux on Wednesday night against Wolves. This was their sixth away defeat in ten matches in the Premier League. The loss also dented their hopes for a top-four finish. On Sunday, they face a dangerous Leicester City team at the King Power where they’ll look to bounce back following two straight losses. Leicester have won three out of their last five home games. Under Brendan Rodgers, they’ve lost just one. Arsenal’s timidity away form should be a concern for Unai Emery who is trying to get Arsenal back into the Champions League. Sunday’s game is a must win, but Leicester can give them a day to forget.

Man United to bounce back?

Manchester United suffered their fourth loss in six matches after losing 2-0 in the Manchester derby. This was also their seventh loss in ten matches in all competitions, an awful run of form for the Red Devils. They have a chance to bounce back when they face fellow top-four hopefuls Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday. Chelsea last won away at Man United in 2013. United also beat the Blues in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge and almost snatched a rare league win away Chelsea. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s men could end the poor run on Sunday with a win.

Race for the Golden Boot

This season’s battle for the Premier League Golden Boot has been nothing short of fascinating. Sergio Aguero, Mohamed Salah and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang are all tied on 19 goals with only three matches to go. This race is even tighter considering Jamie Vardy, who is seventh on the charts with 16 goals, also has a genuine chance of winning the race. However, the top three players haven’t been great in front of goal, therefore, players like Sadio Mane, who is on 18 goals and having his best scoring season, can also challenge the top three.
