Another weekend of thrilling European league football is here. There will be a top-of-the-table clash in the Netherlands and a fierce top four battle in Italy and Spain. Here are some of the Things to look out for in European football this weekend. You can bet on European football here.

Huge top-of-the-table clash in the Eredivisie

Two of Eredivisie’s biggest teams collide in a pivotal and potentially title-deciding showdown on Sunday in Amsterdam. Twenty-four-time Eredivisie winners PSV head into this game five points clear of their opponents with just seven matches remaining. Meanwhile, the hosts, who are aiming to end their four-year title drought, hope that a win could get them closer to their rivals as the season enters the closing stages. Ajax were humiliated 3-0 the last time they met in September. Backed by a phenomenal home record, Ajax will feel confident they can inflict a dramatic setback on their opponents who are gunning for their fourth Eredivisie title in five seasons.

Bundesliga neck-and-neck race to carry on

Germany’s top sides Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are locked in an absorbing battle for the Bundesliga title. Leaders and reigning champions Bayern Munich, after being nine points behind at some point this season, have clawed their way back to the top following an emphatic 6-0 thumping of Mainz in their last match. Dortmund have endured a poor run of results which coincided by Bayern’s resurgence. This weekend, both teams have relatively winnable fixtures. Bayern are away to Freiburg while Dortmund are home to Wolfsburg. If both win, the title could go down to the wire with Bayern chasing their seventh straight title while Dortmund are seeking to end a six-year title drought.

Misery for Roma and Lazio

AS Roma and Lazio’s top four hopes could be hugely dented if they lose their Serie A matches this weekend. Roma, under newly appointed interim manager Claudio Ranieri host title challengers Napoli, while their arch-rivals Lazio visit the San Siro to play Inter Milan. Their opponents are firmly placed in Champions League positions and will want to cement that status by the end of the weekend. Roma are fifth in the table with 47 points, four points off fourth-placed AC Milan while Lazio are two points behind Roma with 45.

Getafe and Deportivo Alaves top four quests

Getafe and Deportivo Alaves are currently placed fourth and fifth in La Liga. The two surprise packages of this season’s La Liga are in contention to finish in the top four, achieving the unimaginable. Getafe have never finished higher than sixth in their history while Abelardo Fernández’s Alaves are enjoying a fantastic season and are currently ahead of traditional top four teams Valencia and Sevilla. Getafe are fourth with 46 points while Alaves are just two points behind with 44. Although both of these teams will face tougher assignments in their last ten matches remaining, they have demonstrated they have what it takes to compete against the best in the Spanish top flight.

Monaco’s revival to continue

The return of Monaco’s former manager Leonardo Jardim has slowly lifted the club out the relegation zone. The clubs has endured a poor season and were in danger of being relegated to the second tier following a string of poor results throughout their season. Since taking over from Thierry Henry, however, Monaco are yet to lose a game in Ligue 1, winning four and drawing three. The team now sits 16th with 30 points, nine points off 19th placed team Dijon. Although Jardim’s men are yet to play leaders PSG, the performance and results show the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 champions are on the up.
