This weekend I’m looking at Saturday’s biggest games in Europe before the focus turns the Serie A on Sunday. Read my tips below and place your bets here.

Eintracht Frankfurt 1 v 3 RB Leipzig – Saturday 25 January – Bundesliga – Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals (1.60)

RB Leipzig are top of the Bundesliga with eight wins in their last ten league games. They’ve provided great entertainment, too; eight of those games have seen both teams score and Over 2.5 Goals. Frankfurt are having a poor season by their recent standards. They have lost seven of their last ten league games, while Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals has been a winning bet in seven of those. I’m expecting more goals when these teams meet, and I think RB Leipzig will take the points.

Southampton 1 v 1 Tottenham – Saturday 25 January – FA Cup – Both Teams to Score (1.55)

It’s been a great start to 2020 for Southampton, who have won four of their five games in all competitions, including a 1-0 win against Spurs. They now host Jose Mourinho’s men in the FA Cup, having only lost one of their last five cup matches at St. Mary’s. Tottenham have won two of their last five games but are winless in their last four games on the road. Considering they have only won two of their last five FA Cup away games, I think this will be a Draw. I’m also backing Both Teams to Score, which has happened in eight of their last ten games against the Saints.

Valencia 1 v 1 Barcelona – Saturday 25 January – La Liga – Both Teams to Score (1.55)

This is a tough game for Barcelona. Valencia are seventh and have only lost one home game this season in all competitions. In fact, they have only lost one home game in the league since 2018. Barcelona are still getting used to new manager Quique Setién’s style and needed late goals to beat Granada and Ibiza in their last two games. They have drawn three of their last five games in La Liga and have only won two of their last five games against Valencia. I see a Draw, while Both Teams to Score has been a winner in the last five meetings.

AS Roma 2 v 2 Lazio – Sunday 26 January – Serie A – Both Teams to Score (1.45)

There’s plenty at stake in what is already a very fiery derby. Both of these teams were beaten in the Coppa Italia and a win here would be a big result. Roma are fourth in the Serie A, one place behind Lazio, and have won six of their last ten league games. Usually I would back them but Lazio have been on an incredible run. They have won 11 league games in a row and have already beaten the dominant Juventus twice this season. Roma have the better record in the derby, though, so I’ll go for a Draw.

Napoli 1 v 2 Juventus – Sunday 26 January – Serie A – Juventus Win (2.05)

This game used to be one of my highlights of the Serie A calendar but it’s lost its appeal after Napoli’s recent problems. Partenopei have lost all three of their league games in 2020. They have won both of their games in the Coppa Italia, but it’s hard to look at those and think that they have what it takes to beat Juventus. The Old Lady are back on top of the Serie A and have won eight of their last ten games in all competitions. At these odds, I have to tip a Juventus win.
