I’m really excited for the Champions League final, and I’ve gone for something a bit different with my Match Tip. I’m also looking at the games in Brazil now the season is underway. There are big odds here! You can bet on any of my tips here.
Tottenham 1 v 2 Liverpool – Saturday 1 June – Champions League Final – HT/FT 2/2 (2.95)
We’ve got two English teams in the final and both managers are looking for their first trophy at their respective clubs. Liverpool came really close last year when they reached the final and have won nine of their last ten games in all competitions. They’ve also got the advantage since they’ve beaten Spurs twice this season already. Tottenham showed great mental strength against Man City and Ajax but I think their inexperience will cost them. I think Liverpool will win it.
Flamengo 2 v 1 Fortaleza – Saturday 1 June – Brasilian Serie A – Both Teams to Score (2.10)
Flamengo have won all three of their home games this season in the league. Their defence hasn’t been too reliable though, and Both Teams to Score has been a winning bet in all of their six games so far. Fortaleza are back in the Serie A for the first time in 2006 but they’ve lost two of their three away games. They beat Flamengo in the cup three years ago, but I think the hosts will be too strong.
Botafogo 1 v 0 Vasca Da Gama – Sunday 2 June – Brasilian Serie A – 2nd Half With Most Goals (2.10)
Botafogo’s inconsistency has been costly this season. They’ve won three and lost three so far in Serie A. Vasco Da Gama haven’t actually managed to win a league game though, and I don’t think they will end that run here. My Match Tip is 2nd Half With Most Goals. It’s happened in Botafogo’s last four games and four of Vasco Da Gama’s six matches this season.
Athletico Paranaense 2 v 1 Fluminense – Sunday 2 June – Brasilian Serie A – Both Teams to Score (1.85)
Neither of these teams have started the season strongly. Paranaenese have picked up just seven points from six games, although they have won two of their three games at home. Fluminense have lost four of their six matches so far and haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet all season. They have also lost four of their last five games against Paranaense, so I have to back a Home Win.
France 3 v 0 Bolivia – Sunday 2 June – Friendly – Both Teams to Score No and Over 2.5 Goals (1.95)
It’s time for the international matches to begin. World champions France have won four of their last five matches and manager Didier Deschamps has selected a strong squad for this match. They’re up against Bolivia, who have only one win from their last 15 matches. They have also failed to score in four of their last five games. I can only see a France Win here.
