Hi gang! Here are my betting tips for the weekend, along with the reasons behind my decisions. If you agree with me, you can get these odds here.
Tottenham v Arsenal – Sunday 12th July – Premier League
This derby is a chance to see how well these clubs are developing under their new managers. Jose Mourinho has not made Tottenham as strong defensively as he would like, but his rivalry with Arsenal means that I expect his team to fight even harder for three points.
The Gunners won four games in a row before their draw with Leicester. Like Tottenham, a Champions League spot is out of reach but they can still end the season well.
Since both sides are stronger in attack than defence, the best of my betting tips would be Both Teams to Score at 1.60. It’s won in the last three league meetings.
Sheffield United v Chelsea – Saturday 11th July – Premier League
This is a very tricky game for Chelsea. Sheffield United have beaten Tottenham and Wolves in their last two home games. They’ve won seven of their ten games at Bramall Lane in 2020.
Frank Lampard’s side have been in great form overall but continue to concede goals away from home. They’ve only kept one clean sheet on their travels in the league all season.
I expect a very close game and I’m backing Both Teams to Score, which I think is a good bet at odds of 2.00.
Juventus v Atalanta – Saturday 11th July – Serie A
How will Juventus respond after their defeat to AC Milan on Tuesday? They’re facing Atalanta, who have won 11 games in a row in all competitions. The visitors also an impressive record in the Serie A this season, losing only once and scoring 41 times in 15 games.
The reigning champions, though, have only failed to win one home league game all season. Eleven of their 15 home games have featured Over 2.5 Goals, and they’ve scored four goals in each of the last two.
Both teams’ form points to a high-scoring match, so my tip is Over 2.5 Goals at odds of 1.55.
Atletico Madrid v Real Betis – Saturday 11th July – La Liga
Atletico haven’t lost a game since the restart and have only suffered two defeats at home in the last two seasons.
In contrast, Real Betis haven’t won any of their last nine away games across all competitions. They lost to Atletico at home in December and have scored just one goal on their last seven away games against them.
This is a case where the simplest of the betting tips is the best. I predict an Atletico Win at odds of 1.45.
Napoli v AC Milan – Sunday 12th July – Serie A
Gennaro Gatusso will manage Napoli against his former club for the first time on Sunday. The hosts have won eight of their last ten league games, but defeat would mean that they drop below the Rossoneri in the table.
They’ve got to be careful, too. Milan have been unbeaten since the restart and fought back from 2-0 down to beat Juventus on Tuesday.
Both Teams to Score has been a winning bet in seven out of ten league games for each of these teams. I like odds of 1.65 on it happening when they meet.
