Mr. Predictor’s betting tips for the Nations League

The Nations League starts for the very first time this week. I’ve run my thoughts over the big fixtures and come up with the below tips. Think I’m right? Click the links to get to the betting site.

Germany v France – Thursday 6 September – Nations League – BET HERE

Germany have to move past their disappointing attempt to defend the World Cup for their opening Nations League game, but this is as tough as it gets. The new champions have won eight of their past ten matches, including six out of seven in Russia, and drew away to Germany when they met last year. Die Mannschaft have only won three of their last ten games overall, but they’re strong on home soil with nine wins in their last ten matches. I still think France will sneak a win though.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Germany 1 v 2 France

Wales v Republic of Ireland – Thursday 6 September – Nations League – BET HERE

This is Wales’ first competitive game under Ryan Giggs and it’s a chance for them to gain revenge over Ireland, whom they lost to last year. They’ve only won four of their last ten games, but Ireland only have three in their past ten matches, so I see an even game. I also don’t see many goals – there have been Under 2.5 Goals in eight of Wales’ last ten matches. I’ll go for a Draw.

Match Tip: Under 2.5 Goals
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Wales 1 v 1 Republic of Ireland

Portugal v Croatia – Thursday 6 September – Friendly – BET HERE

Portugal have just three wins from their past ten games, and their record in friendlies isn’t much better, having won five of their past ten. They’re testing themselves against World Cup runners up Croatia, who have won six of their last ten friendlies. Both teams scored in their final five World Cup games, so I’ll back the same in this match. I think a Draw is the most likely outcome.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Portugal 1 v 1 Croatia

Italy v Poland – Friday 7 September – Nations League – BET HERE

Italy weren’t at the World Cup, so they’ve only played friendly matches recently. They’re unbeaten in their past ten home games with six wins in that run. Poland, on the other hand, wish that they hadn’t been at the World Cup. They were one of the first teams to be eliminated and have only won five of their past ten away matches. I’m going for a win for the Azzurri.

Match Tip: Under 2.5 Goals
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Italy 2 v 0 Poland

Scotland v Belgium – Friday 7 September – Friendly – BET HERE

Both of these sides will have to wait to start the Nations League campaign, but it will be good preparation for the Scots. They’ve lost four of their past five games, only scoring once, and have lost six of the last ten friendlies they have played. Belgium, on the other hand, have won eight of their last ten games and came third at the World Cup. This is an Away Win.

Match Tip: Belgium Win
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Scotland 0 v 2 Belgium
