Mr. Predictor looks at the Copa America and the start of AFCON 2019

What a week! The Copa America is in full swing now, and on Friday it will be joined by the AFCON 2019! Read my tips below and click here if you want to bet.

Brazil 2 v 0 Venezuela – Tuesday 18 June – Copa America – Brazil Win with 0:1 Handicap (1.45)

Brazil beat Bolivia 3-0 in the opening game at the Copa America but it took them a while to find their rhythm and all of the goals came after half time. They’ve still won nine of their last ten games though, and their last four victories have been by at least a two goal margin. They’ve won on the handicap in their last two matches against Venezuela, who could only draw 0-0 with Peru on Saturday. I’m going for a comfortable Brazil win.

Zambia 1 v 1 Ivory Coast – Wednesday 19 June – Friendly – Both Teams to Score

Zambia won’t be at the AFCON but they proved their quality on Sunday with a 3-2 win against Morocco. The Ivory Coast suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Uganda on Saturday, but the Elephants haven’t lost twice in a row for two years. I think this will be another tough test for them and my Match Tip is Both Teams to Score; it’s happened in three out of five friendlies for both sides.

Japan Women 1 v 1 England Women – Wednesday 19 June – WWC – Under 2.5 Goals (1.50)

Japan were runners up four years ago. They’ve won one and drawn one so far at this World Cup and they only need a point to be sure of second in the group. England have won both of their games and a draw would secure top spot. They beat Japan 3-0 in March but this is a different scenario. Neither side’s defence has been truly tested yet so it’s tough to call, but I’m going for a Draw.

Argentina 2 v 0 Paraguay – Wednesday 19 June – Copa America – Under 2.5 Goals (1.80)

Argentina went down 2-0 against Colombia in their opening game, but I should note that they had more possession and more shots on goal. On top of that, Paraguay have only won two of their last ten games. They had a two goal lead against Qatar in their first match, only to draw 2-2 at full time. I think Argentina will get the job done this time around.

Egypt 2 v 1 Zimbabwe – Friday 21 June – AFCON – Over 2.5 Goals (2.00)

AFCON 2019 is here! Host nation Egypt get us started against Zimbabwe, and the Pharaohs are in form. They have won their last five home games, including both of their warm-up friendlies. Four of those five matches had Over 2.5 Goals. Zimbabwe have drawn both of their recent friendlies and exited at the group phase two years ago. I think Egypt will start with a win, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few goals here.
