The FA Cup Final is an all-London affair, as Chelsea take on Arsenal. Where do I see this being won and lost? Read on. Bet on the match here.
Arsenal v Chelsea – Saturday 1 August – FA Cup Final
Will London be red or blue come Saturday evening? In my opinion, Chelsea will be the team celebrating. I can’t think past their demolition of the Gunners in the Europa League Final last season. Whilst much has changed on the field and in both dugouts, I still think the Blues have the edge. Both Teams to Score (1.75) * has been a winning bet in four of the past five meetings, whilst Chelsea have won three of those. I think Frank Lampard will win a trophy in his first season at Stamford Bridge. If I had to guess a score, I would go for a 2-1 victory.
Atalanta v Inter Milan – Saturday 1 August – Serie A
This game will determine who finishes second in Serie A this season. The gap between Juventus and the rest has certainly been reduced, but both sides will have work to do if they are to win the Scudetto in the next campaign. There should be plenty of goals on offer, and for that reason, I think this will end in a 2-2 draw. My betting tip is Both Teams to Score (1.40). It has been a winning bet in four of the last five games for Atalanta, who have scored in every game this season bar three. Inter’s strong form of just one loss in 13 since the restart makes me think this is a draw.
Juventus v Roma – Saturday 1 August – Serie A
This is a tough game to predict. Maurizio Sarri has admitted he may play the kids, with Juventus already the league champions and with their focus turned to the Champions League. Roma, meanwhile are unbeaten in their last seven games, are guaranteed to finish fifth and have seen Both Teams to Score (1.40) win in eight of their 11 games since the restart. I think a 1-1 draw is likely here.
Napoli v Lazio – Saturday 1 August – Serie A
It’s been a strange season for both sides. Napoli cannot finish higher than seventh, but they won their first cup in six years. Lazio looked like they would push Juve all the way at one stage, but they are now fourth. If results go their way, they could finish in 2nd, which is a huge improvement on their eighth placed finish last year. The break ruined them and they only won two of their last six games. On top of that they have not won at Napoli since 2015. I think a 1-1 draw is a fair result and I will back Double Chance Napoli (1.50).
Celtic v Hamilton Academical – Sunday 2 August – Scottish Premiership
Scottish football is back! The previous season was cancelled and Celtic were awarded the title. Now, they start their bid to win their tenth title on the trot. The Bhoys kick things off against a side who rarely troubles them. They have beaten Hamilton by more than one goal in three of the last five meetings. They have one on the Handicap in 12 of their last 15 home games, so I am backing a 3-0 win today. Celtic on the 0:1 Handicap (1.35) looks a good bet to me.
