Patience can be an important virtue in all aspects of life, and the craft of betting is no different sometimes.

Across the following few days, Manchester United, Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao all came from behind to defeat Nottingham Forest, Villarreal and Real Betis respectively, while Freiburg scored a 96th-minute winner against Werder Bremen to keep the bet alive.
For most players, the bet would have ended there. However, this player decided to add on two more selections from the following weekend’s action to boost their odds.
The two selections were Tottenham to beat Burnley, which Spurs comfortably managed despite also falling behind early on, and Both Teams To Score in the Premier League’s evening kick-off between Brighton and Newcastle.
With Brighton looking surprisingly comfortable at 3-0 up courtesy of teenage sensation Evan Ferguson’s hat-trick, our player’s bet looked set to fall at the final hurdle in agonising fashion.
However, as he does so often, Newcastle’s Callum Wilson came off the bench to score late on. This will almost certainly prove to be a meaningless consolation goal as far as Brighton’s or Newcastle’s seasons go, but it was an absolutely sensational one for our Big Winner, who scooped $18,621.80 from a stake of $8.35.
