RB Leipzig will host Bayern Munich in a mouth-watering encounter this Saturday. Leipzig are looking to continue with their 100% start to the season while Bayern are seeking to dethrone their hosts from the top of the table. Here’s the Big Game Focus. Bet on the game here.

Leipzig defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 away from home before the international break to continue their perfect start to the campaign. Leaders Leipzig are the only team to have won each of their opening three games this season. Julian Nagelsmann’s side have been tipped to challenge for this season’s Bundesliga title but can they pass the first test on Saturday?

Bayern destroyed Mainz 6-1 at home in their last Bundesliga match and, with two wins and one draw from the first three matches, have also made a strong start to their title defence. However, an in-form RB Leipzig present a problem for them. Leipzig will be tough to beat away from home for Niko Kovac’s men but the champions have the experience and quality to do it.

Betting preview

Since they first met in the Bundesliga in 2016, Bayern have four wins, one draw and one loss against RB Leipzig, with 15 goals scored and six conceded. Therefore, you can back an Away Win at odds of 1.75.

The hosts have scored in all of their Bundesliga matches this season and have conceded in two of those matches. Bayern have also scored in all of their three games this season, conceding in two of them. For that reason, it makes sense to back Both Teams to Score at odds of 1.45.

Bayern centre forward Robert Lewandowski is the only player to have outscored Leipzig’s striker Timo Werner this season. The Bayern striker has scored six goals in the league already this season. He has also scored six goals in seven appearances against Leipzig. That being the case, you can back Robert Lewandowski as Anytime Goalscorer at odds of 1.80.

Team news

Leipzig’s summer signing Hannes Wolf is still recovering from a long term injury while midfielders Tyler Adams and Kevin Kampl are still out.

Bayern don’t have any injury problems, so manager Niko Kovac could select his strongest line-up for the fixture.

Possible line-ups

RB Leipzig: Gulacsi, Mukiele, Konate, Orban, Klostermann, Demme, Kampl, Halstenberg, Sabitzer, Poulsen, Werner

Bayern: Neuer, Pavard, Süle, Hernandez, Alaba, Kimmich, Thiago, Gnabry, Coutinho, Coman, Lewandowski
