Things are not looking pretty for Germany ahead of their visit to France in the Uefa Nations League. Here is a look at the fixture with possible outcomes.

Germany were beaten 3-0 at the hands of the Netherlands in their weekend trip to Amsterdam. They will be looking for redemption when they face the world champions France on Tuesday. The visitors have not looked comfortable since the World Cup and their poor form is a sharp contrast to that of their opponents France, who seem to be holding together even past the World Cup.

The French are out for another big honour this season and so far they are in the running to become the first winners of the Nations League. To this end, they have accumulated four points from their opening two games. A win, therefore, will put them in a strong standing to finish top and qualify for the semi-finals, one game before their final group game against the Dutch.

Joachim Low’s rebuilding mission following a failed World Cup has seen Germany fail to live up to their expectation.  They have only won once in a 2-1 triumph over Peru since the world football showcase and the run the risk of dropping out of the top tier of the Nations League, and that would be a worrying development for Low.

Betting preview

The French are in a very good moment, going from strength to strength after their World Cup triumph. They are unbeaten in their last 14 games and it will be hard for  Germany to stop them, especially in their current form. Therefore you can back a Home Win at odds of 1.65 this way.

Both teams have failed to find the back of the net in three of the last five meetings between the sides. The Germans, in particular, are struggling in front of goal after managing just two goals from 107 shots in their last five competitive outings. Backing Both Teams to Score No looks good here at odds of 1.90

Kylian Mbappe is becoming a very prominent figure in the French side and he has started the season incredibly well so far. He scored in their last draw against Iceland and he makes an great option for the Anytime Goalscorer market at odds of 2.25 here.

Teams news

After seeing a somewhat changed side struggle against Iceland on Thursday, the French are likely to revert to full strength here. However, with injury concerns to their centre backs, we are likely to see Benjamin Pavard partner up with Presnel Kimpembe at the heart of their defence.

The Germans for their part looked in dire need of serious changes after their loss in Amsterdam. Jérôme Boateng was particularly poor the last time out and could be dropped from the team. Timo Werner will hope to play through the middle against France, whilst Leroy Sane is expected on the left.

Possible line-ups

France: Lloris, Sidibe, Pavard, Kimpembe, Hernandez, Kante, Pogba, Mbappe, Griezmann, Matuidi, Giroud.

Germany: Neuer, Ginter, Sule, Hummels, Hector, Kroos, Kimmich, Rudy, Muller, Werner, Sane
