Manchester City will be hoping to keep the pressure on Liverpool when they face a struggling Everton on Wednesday in the Premier League. Click here to bet.
The Toffees have underwhelmed in recent weeks and they were put to the sword during the weekend by an impressive Wolves. Marco Silva has not been able to prove his worth in terms of results, and his side’s form over the last couple of months is not encouraging. Everton have now won just three of their 12 Premier League matches since the beginning of December, drawing twice and losing the remaining seven outings.
Manchester City, on the other hand, have won five of their last six Premier League outings. They have lost to Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Leicester, and Newcastle in the last couple of months, although slip-ups from Liverpool allowed them to be within touching distance of the top spot. A win here would see them move to the top of the table by goal difference with Liverpool yet to play their game in hand.
Betting preview
Everton have been exposed defensively this season after conceding 36 times in 25 games so far. They will be coming up against the highest scoring side in the league, who have seen Over 2.5 Goals scored in their last nine games in the Premier League. You can back Over 2.5 Goals at odds of 1.50 here.
Sergio Aguero has scored four goals in City’s last two games including a hat-trick against Arsenal and he is the likely starter ahead of Gabriel Jesus. He makes an excellent punt for the Anytime Goalscorer and you can back him to do that at odds of 1.95.
