The Big Game Focus takes a look at the biggest match of the day with pointers on the probable winner in the World Cup knock out stage fixture between Colombia and England.

Colombia versus England will be the last game on the program in the last 16 of the World Cup. England are now one of the big favourites of the competition, thanks to the eviction of Germany, Argentina, Spain and Portugal during the past seven days. Only Belgium have scored more goals than the Three Lions, who have so far scored eight times in three games.

The English team have a talented core of some of the best players in the Premier League, including Harry Kane, the top scorer at the World Cup at the moment. Colombia, for their part, are not as prolific but they are doing very well nevertheless. Five goals were enough to hoist them to the top of their group and it will probably get more complicated in the round of 16.

Betting preview

England have never lost to Colombia, but this year’s competition has been full of surprises. Backing England to Draw No Bet looks like the smart move at odds of 1.45 here.

Colombia have scored in their last eight World Cup matches. The last time they failed to score in the tournament was in June 1998. The English side have also scored in 14 of their last 19 games in the competition and that is very likely tonight. You can back Both Teams to Score at odds of 2.15 this way.

Harry Kane has scored 13 goals in his last ten international games and has found the net in each of his last five outings for England. He could become the first player to score in six consecutive appearances for the English national team if he prevails against Colombia this Tuesday. Backing Harry Kane for the Anytime Goalscorer market promises great value at odds 2.15 here.

Team News

The English side have a full-strength squad with the exception of Fabian Delph, who took a small leave to attend the birth of his child.

On the Colombian side, we are likely to see Luis Muriel take over from James Rodriguez. The latter, along with Abel Aguilar, have some small problems that have limited their match time so far, and their participation is in doubt.

Possible teams

Colombia: Ospina, Arias, Mina, Davinson Sanchez, Mojica, Carlos Sanchez, Uribe, Cuadrado, Quintero, Muriel, Falcao

England: Pickford, Walker, Stones, Maguire, Trippier, Henderson, Loftus-Cheek, Lingard, Young, Sterling, Kane
