Ajax are looking to protect their 1-0 lead from last week’s clash in London when they host Tottenham in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. Bet on the match here

The hosts are in the driving seat but both sides have been the surprise sides in the semis. Ajax are ahead of PSV in the league and are now targeting success in Europe as they seek to cement their name as a football powerhouse. In the history of the competition, only seven sides have won their league, their major domestic cup and the Champions League in the same season. Can Ajax become the eighth?

Spurs have a herculean task in their push for the final and their recent record has been poor. Their only hope of silverware this season has come down to Europe. But can they rally without Harry Kane and claim a legendary win in this visit to Amsterdam?

Betting Preview

Tottenham approach this game with five defeats in their last six games, they have also lost against all the top five teams in the Premier League on the road. They have won only one of their six Champions League away games. This makes odds of 2.05 for a Home Win look incredibly attractive.

Tottenham will go with a very conservative mind and whilst Ajax will be wary of the danger posed by Heung Min Son and therefore we can expect them to guard their lead. This will most likely be a low scoring affair as has been the case with Tottenham’s fixtures over their last five outings where Under 2.5 Goals were scored. You can back under 2.5 Goals at odds of 2.10.

Both Teams to score No have landed in all of Tottenham’s last five fixtures and the same has happened in three of the last five games Ajax have played in. Backing Both Teams to Score No promises value at odds of 2.20 here.

Team news

Carel Eiting is the only player missing for Ajax’s whilst Noussair Mazraoui will be hoping to reclaim his starting spot from Joel Veltman. Other than that we should not expect any dramatic changes from Ajax.

Son is available following his ban and he should feature from the start. Jan Vertonghen is set to recover in time to start following a nasty injury he sustained in the first leg. Serge Aurier, Kane and Harry Winks are all unavailable due to long term injuries.

Possible lineups

Ajax: Onana, Veltman, de Ligt, Blind, Tagliafico, Schone, de Jong, Beek, Ziyech, Tadic, Neres

Tottenham: Lloris, Tripper, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Sissoko, Wanyama, Eriksen, Alli, Son, Lucas
