Arsenal host Manchester United in the big game this weekend. The two had contrasting weeks in Europe, with the Gunners losing to Rennes and United beating PSG. Here are my betting tips for the weekend. Place your bets here.
Crystal Palace 2 v 1 Brighton – Saturday 9 March – Premier League – Both Teams to Score (1.95)
Palace have hit form and are slowly pulling away from the relegation zone. They’ve won three of their last five league games, although both teams have scored in four of those. Brighton beat Huddersfield last Saturday for their first league win of 2019. However, since they’ve lost four of their last five away games, I’m going for Palace to win the derby.
Borussia Dortmund 3 v 0 Stuttgart – Saturday 9 March – Bundesliga – Dortmund Win and Over 2.5 Goals (1.75)
It looks like the winter break came at a bad time for Dortmund. They’ve only won one of their last five games in all competitions and Bayern have caught them in the race for the title. That said, they’ve won ten of their 12 home league games this season and beat Stuttgart 4-0 in October. Since the visitors are 16th in the table, I have to back an easy Home Win.
Leicester 3 v 1 Fulham – Saturday 9 March – Premier League – Leicester Win (1.60)
This is Leicester’s first home game under Brendan Rodgers, and the Foxes will be out for a win after they lost to Watford last weekend. They should get it, too. Fulham showed signs of improvement last Sunday against Chelsea, but they’ve now lost five games in a row and haven’t won a single away league game this season. I think Leicester will win.
Arsenal 1 v 2 Manchester United – Sunday 10 March – Premier League – Both Teams to Score (1.50)
Manchester United look unstoppable right now. Their win over PSG was just the latest big result under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and they’re still unbeaten in the league since he took over. They’re one point above Arsenal, who have looked better in recent weeks. The Gunners have won their last eight league games at the Emirates but they did lose 3-1 to United in the FA Cup in January. Matches between these sides usually supply goals, and on current form I can see an Away Win.
Fiorentina 2 v 2 Lazio – Sunday 10 March – Serie A – Over 2.5 Goals (1.85)
Fiorentina are down to tenth in Serie A after having won just one of their last five games. Lazio are in better form. They’ve won three of their last five league games, including a 3-0 victory over rivals AS Roma last Saturday. They’ve also beaten Fiorentina three times in a row, but I’m not convinced by their away form. I’m going for a Draw.
