Southend United progressed through to the second round of the after knocking out Bristol Rovers on Sunday evening. The Blues, led by their eSports player Daniel, beat Rovers 3-1. However, in the second round they face Swiss Super League side FC Sion, whose representative is a two-time Swiss Championship finalist. Sion beat South African side Orlando Pirates 4-2. Again, Sion’s representative ‘Cobra’ makes them favourites in this one.

Standard Liege v Fiorentina – Standard Liege Win – 1.80

Belgian side Standard Liege are represented by national champion Quentin Wattyne. Both sides won 4-1 in the first round meaning this encounter should be exciting and full of goals. However, Quentin’s status makes the Belgian side favourites to beat the Italians.

Rotherham v Preston North End – Over 2.5 Goals – 1.40

Rotherham edged Colchester United 4-3 in a seven goal thriller. Preston North End, on the other hand snatched a narrow 2-1 win over Doncaster Rovers. Taking into account the results of the first round, this match should see plenty of goals.
