Mr. Predictor's Premier League tips, plus his say on Atletico v Barcelona

Hello everyone! There are some nice games in the Premier League this weekend, followed by Atletico v Barcelona on Sunday night. Check out my thoughts below. You can bet on the matches.

Hertha Berlin 2 v 2 Borussia Dortmund – Saturday 30 November – Bundesliga – Over 2.5 Goals

Hertha will be hoping that new manager Jurgen Klinsmann can bring about a reversal in fortunes.  They have lost their last four games in the Bundesliga and cannot even rely on their home form, having lost four of their six home games this season. Luckily for them, Dortmund are in poor form and have not won any of their last five away Bundesliga games. They won here 3-2 last season thanks to a 90th minute winner, but my bet this time is a Draw. I also see Over 2.5 Goals, which happened in both meetings last season and in all of Hertha’s six home games this season.

Burnley 2 v 1 Crystal Palace – Saturday 30 November – Premier League – Burnley Win

Sean Dyche was never going to accept his Burnley side losing 3-0 at Sheffield United, and they have responded by winning their next two games by the same scoreline. Turf Moor has been a fortress for them this season as they have won four of their six home league games, with only Chelsea and Liverpool taking any points there. This is the latest in a run of tough fixtures for Palace. They have lost four of their last five Premier League games. Even though the Eagles have won their last three games against Burnley, I’m going for a Home Win this time.

Chelsea 2 v 0 West Ham – Saturday 30 November – Premier League – Chelsea Win with 0:1 Handicap

This will be a special game for Frank Lampard, managing against the first club he played for (and where his father was once assistant manager). Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League and have won seven of their last ten games in the division. More importantly, five of those seven wins have been by a margin of at least two goals. West Ham, on the other hand, are 17th. They have only taken two points from their last seven league games and haven’t won at Chelsea since 2002. I have to back an easy Home Win.

Leicester 2 v 0 Everton – Sunday 1 December – Premier League – Leicester Win

Results last weekend meant that Leicester extended their lead not only over third place, but also over fifth place in the table. Brendan Rodgers’ side have won their last five league games and have looked imperious at the King Power Stadium, winning all five of their games there since a draw on the opening weekend. They also have the current leading scorer Jamie Vardy up front. Things aren’t going so well for Everton. Marco Silva’s job is hanging by a thread after seven league defeats already this season. I can only see another win for the Foxes.

Atletico Madrid 1 v 1 Barcelona – Sunday 1 December – La Liga – Under 2.5 Goals

Despite having lost just one of their 14 league games this season, this is already turning into a disappointing campaign for Atletico. The reason? Seven of their last ten games in La Liga have ended in a draw. Furthermore, their new-look attack hasn’t settled yet and Under 2.5 Goals has been a winning bet in 12 of those 14 league games! Barcelona are top at the start of the weekend but they haven’t convinced me yet. They only beat bottom side Leganes last weekend thanks to two second-half goals, meaning that they have won just three of their seven away league games this season. The last two meetings between these sides in Madrid have ended level – I’m going for the same again.
