Top 5 Bets of the Week: May 13-17

With the Premier League done and dusted, there’s still an exciting week of football. We’ve looked at the odds and stats and came up with these selections for you to consider. Bet on these games here.

Inter Milan v Chievo – Inter Win to Nil – 1.75

Inter Milan look to get back into the top three when they host rock bottom Chievo Verona tonight. They are unbeaten in their last six matches in the Serie A. In that period; they have kept three clean sheets. Already relegated Chievo Verona have had a terrible season. They have won just twice in the Serie all season. They have scored in three of their last ten away matches in the league. They have the worst defence in the league and have found the net just 25 times in 35 Serie A games. Therefore an Inter win to nil is very much likely.

West Bromwich v Aston Villa – West Brom Double Chance – 1.50

West Brom lost the first leg of this clash 2-1 away to Villa but would feel hard done by considering they were just 16 minutes to victory. Now, they have a huge challenge at home. The Baggies have won five straight home matches and have lost just twice at home in their last 16 matches in the Championship. Five of the last six encounters between this pair at the Hawthorns have resulted in draws. Moreover, Villa have an awful record away at West Brom and have not won there since 2006. Therefore, West Brom’s home record makes them hard to beat.

Lazio v Atalanta – Both Teams to Score – 1.55

A Coppa Italia title is at stake when these Serie A top-four hopefuls lock horns at the Stadio Olimpico.  Five of their last seven encounters have seen both teams find the net. Atalanta have the best attack in the Serie A while Lazio have found the back of the net in their last five matches in all competitions. Therefore, with attacking talent on both sides, there should be goals in plenty.

Leeds United v Derby County – Leeds United Win – 1.70

Leeds have a 1-0 advantage against Derby County heading back to Elland Road. Frank Lampard’s men have won just one match at Elland Road in their last seven. Meanwhile, Leeds beat Derby home and away in the just-concluded regular season in the Championship. Derby have also won just one of their last ten away matches. Therefore, Leeds are heavy favourites to win here.

Portsmouth v Sunderland – Both teams to Score – 1.90

Sunderland registered their first victory over Portsmouth in the League One play-off semi-final. The Black Cats will look to complete the job when they visit Fratton Park. Six of the last seven meetings between these two has seen both teams find the back of the net. Both teams have scored in Portsmouth’s eight of their last ten matches. Both teams have scored in seven of Sunderland’s last ten matches in all competitions.
