Controlled performance from Arsenal?
Arsenal quelled the fears of many of their fans with an assured performance in their first leg of the Europa League tie with Napoli. After winning by two goals to nil, the Gunner will be looking to finish the job when traveling to Naples to face Carlo Ancelotti's side. They did not concede an away goal and thus gave themselves a two-goal lead ahead of their away trip, Unai Emery’s men will fancy themselves to progress and they should be able to do just that against a not so confident Napoli side, going by recent results.
Chelsea looking for a response
Can Slavia Praha turn it around after losing by a goal to nil on home soil when they visit Stamford Bridge? Chelsea will be looking to get over the disappointment of losing at Anfield on Sunday afternoon. That being the case you can expect them to throw everything in the way of their visitors, who looked a little bit stubborn in the first leg. Slavia Praha might want to emulate the heroics of Ajax and you can expect the Blues not to leave anything to chance, especially now that they are not assured of a top-four finish.
Frankfurt to bank on home advantage
Eintracht Frankfurt will be hoping to bounce back following a disappointing first leg away to Benfica where they lost by a 4-2 scoreline. Frankfurt have won four and drawn one of their five Europa League matches at Commerzbank Arena, scoring an impressive 14 goals and conceding just two in the process. They will be hoping that their incredible home form can count for something, especially with their two goals away from home already in the bag.
Valencia secured an excellent result in the first leg of their tie with Villarreal and they will be out to progress without risking their advantage. Marcelino’s men will be brimming with confidence after their 3-1 away win, whilst the Yellow Submarine know that they have given themselves a mountain to climb here. We learned last week that both Valencia and Villarreal have what it takes to create chances and score goals against each other and therefore we can expect this for sure.
