Top 5 Bets for the Weekend: March 30-31

Europe’s top domestic leagues are back this weekend, and we have looked through the fixtures to find our top bets. Click here to play.

Borussia Dortmund v Wolfsburg – Over 2.5 Goals – 1.55

There have been Over 2.5 Goals in seven of Dortmund’s last ten matches in the Bundesliga, including each of the last four. Fans at Westfalenstadion have been treated to goals this season, with a total of 61 goals in 13 league games there (12 of which have featured Over 2.5 Goals). Eight of Wolfsburg’s last ten league games have been the same, as have eight of their last ten meetings with Dortmund.

Leicester v Bournemouth – Both Teams to Score – 1.60

Both teams have scored in nine of Leicester’s last ten league games, and they have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last eight home games. Similarly, Bournemouth have scored and conceded in three of their last five games in the Premier League. The same has happened in three of their past five meetings with the Foxes. Goals Galore, anyone?

Deportivo Alaves v Atletico Madrid – Under 2.5 Goals – 1.50

Under 2.5 Goals has occurred in nine of Alaves’ 13 home league games this season, including the last four games at Estadio de Mendizorroza. Atletico’s recent success has been built on a compact defence, and Under 2.5 Goals have been scored in eight of their last ten games in La Liga. They have been even more frugal on the road, as 12 of their 14 away games this season have seen fewer than three goals. Expect a typical show from Los Rojiblancos here.

Dijon v Nice – Under 2.5 Goals – 1.50

Both of these sides have only managed to find the net 21 times in 29 league games this season, with only one other side in Ligue 1 having scored fewer goals than them. Under 2.5 Goals has occurred in eight of Dijon’s last ten games in the French top flight, the only exceptions being defeats to Marseille and PSG. Nice have, on average, conceded just one goal per game this season. There have been Under 2.5 Goals in 18 of their last 20 league games, and it looks likely to happen again here.

Arsenal v Newcastle – Arsenal Win – 1.40

Arsenal have won 13 of their 16 home games in the Premier League this season, including each of the past nine at the Emirates. Newcastle have failed to win any of their last five away league games and have lost away to all of the other established ‘Big Six’ teams this season. Arsenal have ran out winners in nine of their last ten meetings with the Magpies, as well as in nine of their past ten encounters at home. Another Gunners win looks likely.
