Mr. Predictor looks at the final AFCON qualifiers, plus Netherlands v Germany

Ok gang. This is the last round of qualifiers for the tournament this summer and Cameroon, DR Congo and Tanzania are among the teams fighting for a place. Take a look at my tips and, if you want to back them, click here.

Cameroon 1 v 1 Comoros – Saturday 23 March – AFCON Qualifiers – Under 2.5 Goals

Cameroon should be hosting the tournament this summer as reigning champions, and I’m sad that won’t be the case. They still only need a point to secure a place at AFCON 2019 but they’ve won just one of their last five matches. Comoros have never been to AFCON and gave themselves hope with a win against Malawi last time out. I think that the Indomitable Lions will make it though.

Ghana 1 v 0 Kenya – Saturday 23 March – AFCON Qualifiers – Under 2.5 Goals

Both teams are already assured of a place at AFCON 2019, so there’s not too much tension here. Ghana are unbeaten in their last ten home games overall and have won eight of the last ten qualifiers on their own soil. Kenya have been superb in qualifying though and haven’t conceded in their last four games. However, they are winless in their last ten away qualifiers, so I’m going for a Home Win.

DR Congo 2 v 1 Liberia – Sunday 24 March – AFCON Qualifiers – Both Teams to Score

The Leopards can qualify with a win but they’ve drawn four of their last five games, so it’s fair to say that they’re not in great form. Liberia have won their last two matches, but they’ve lost four in a row away from home. I think Both Teams to Score is a good bet here since it’s happened in nine of the hosts’ last ten games, and I’m going to back a Home Win.

Tanzania 1 v 0 Uganda – Sunday 24 March – AFCON Qualifiers – Under 2.5 Goals

This is a huge game for Tanzania, who have to win to stand a chance of qualification. Even then, it won’t be enough should Lesotho win against Cape Verde. However, Uganda are already certain of qualification after winning four of their five qualifiers. The Taifa Stars managed to draw in Kampala in September though, so I think they have what it takes get the win at home.

Netherlands 2 v 2 Germany – Sunday 24 March – European Championship Qualifiers – Over 2.5 Goals

Germany have a chance to take revenge on the Netherlands after they lost 3-0 to them here last year. Die Mannschaft have lost their last three away games though, and their squad is very inexperienced. The Netherlands are looking to qualify for their first major summer tournament since 2014 and will be confident after reaching winning their Nations League group. I see a Draw here.
