Five best Premier League kits for the new season

With the new Premier League season finally set to kick off tonight, it’s time to take a look at the teams that will be wowing us with the best looking kits. Here are our five best.

5. Newcastle away

Newcastle fans have not had much to cheer about in recent times, given the continued mishandling of their club by owner Mike Ashley. Their new away kit it a throwback to their mid-90s team known as the Entertainers. The excellent choice of colours and the horizontal hoop design makes it simple but very classy.

4. Brighton home

Another modest design, but one that simply blows you away. It helps that the colour of the sponsor logo blends well with the club colours. The Nike swoosh adds its own subtle flavour to the design, beating the argument that red and blue cannot blend well.

3. Watford home

Maybe it is the fact that Watford have veered away from tradition and decided to stripe their shirt this season, but there is no doubt that it is one that catches the eye immediately. Unlike in last season’s strip, Adidas have brought back their famous three stripes back to the shoulders, which matches perfectly with the new design.

2. Bournemouth home

Umbro have pulled off a masterclass with this season’s edition of the Bournemouth home kit. Every detail appears to seamless and in place with the shirt; the running Umbro insignia on the edge of the sleeve is quite, well, edgy!

1.Fulham home

If Fulham can perform as well as they will look on the pitch this season, then expect another Leicester-type fairy-tale campaign. The Cottagers’ sleek black and white kit is another demonstration of the beauty found in simplicity. Adidas can be proud of creating two of our top three kits for the new season.
